Using the on-site canoe, you can paddle through the waterways of Tinaburra Waters. On a full dam you can launch and anchor your own boat from your private promontory at Lakefront Holiday Villas, or you can launch your boat at the nearby boat ramp, or hire a dinghy from the local service station just minutes away.

From your Waterfront Holiday Villa you can walk or canoe down to the Afghanistan Avenue of Honour – the first national memorial dedicated to the memory of Australian Service Personnel who have fallen in this campaign.

Hike around the nearby crater lakes – Lake Eacham and Lake Barrine – and enjoy a picnic and a swim. At Lake Barrine you can also enjoy a boat cruise and morning/afternoon tea or lunch at the waterfront tea house and visit the twin Kauri Pines on the shore of Lake Barrine just a 2-minute walk from the tea house.

Enjoy a day or night tour to view the Lumholtz’s tree-kangaroo, possums and other amazing rainforest animals with Alan’s Wildlife Tours.

Visit the nearby Curtain Fig Tree (5 mins drive away) – known as the Atherton Tableland’s most famous tree – it is easily accessed and circled by a boardwalk, or 25 minutes away is the Cathedral Fig Tree, which you can walk inside and experience the “cathedral-like” ambience.

Further afield is the Millaa Millaa lookout and waterfalls circuit, which includes Millaa Millaa Falls, Ellinjaa Falls and Zillie Falls, and other falls in the Millaa Millaa area include Mungalli Falls, Souita Falls and Papina Falls.
